Can I move the Infrared portable heater around while it is operating?
It is not recommended to move any portable heater while it is operating. We recommend moving the heater once the fan has completely turned off.

Can I use an extension cord, surge protector, or power strip with my Infrared portable heater?
It is not recommended. It is designed to plug directly into a grounded 110 volt 15 amp or higher circuit receptacle. However, if you have to use an extension cord, the cord should be No. 14 AWG minimum size and rated not any less than 1875 watts. The extension cord should be a 3 wire cord with a grounding type cord and plug connector.
